Watch out for those engine fires!

The speaker lights on the 2010 Kia Soul can cause an electrical fire.
Yesterday, Ferrari recalled its 458 Italia for a risk of engine fires. Now, it's Kia's turn to take the heat.
The wiring of the front door speakers in the 2010 Kia Soul, which house red LEDs that flash in sync to the stereo's music, can short and cause an electrical fire, the Korean company said in a filing to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration dated Tuesday.
The interior door accent lighting on the 2011 Sorento also poses a similar risk and is being recalled. A total of 35,185 vehicles built between Sept. 7, 2009 and July 30, 2010 are affected. Kia says some of the wiring may have been "improperly soldered."
In a separate investigation, NHTSA is looking into steering problems on the 2010 Soul after an owner complained that the shaft had separated from the steering wheel.
