Vintage Trains for a change
October 1st 2011 05:30
The MTA’s vintage “Nostalgia Special” subway train is coming out to cheer on the Bronx Bombers for their playoff kick-off Friday night.
The fully-restored, four-car train is scheduled to leave the 42nd Street-Grand Central station at 7:15 p.m. tonight.
The train will travel uptown on the 4-line, making stops at 59th Street, 86th Street, 125th Street, 138th/Grand Concourse Street, 149th/Grand Concourse and 161st Street/Yankee Stadium.
The train is also expected to run Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. and will be dispatched again if there’s a game 5, and for any future rounds in their bid for their 28th title — a recent tradition by the MTA.
