The 1936 Packard 12 convertible sedan was far from a big seller.
Nine were built, and just six remain in existence.
The 1936 Packard has a 445-cubic-inch, V-12 engine with a three-speed manual transmission that puts out 160 horsepower.
In its day, Packard was "the top car, beyond Cadillac,"
In the early 20th century, "everybody was trying to build a car. In 1895, there were 150,000 horses in Manhattan, and people were desperate to solve the horse problem" with its public sanitation issues.
Now "100 years later, we're trying to solve the automobile problem," he said
