What difference does a smiley make?: and how do you do it?
May 1st 2008 01:20
Now I notice how fond so many of you are of those cute little smiley buttons, but I'm blessed if I know how to do it.
I found some very interesting things, not smileys, clicked this and that and embedded, or rather thought I did, but other than getting some pesky little cursors which I could not get rid of I did not achieve a thing.
Now we are talking money here and much as I look down my nose at the making of a cent, since being here for some time now, and not making myself one of the wretched little things, that's cents I mean, not smileys even one cent is starting to look decidedly attractive.
And I think I've found the secret, it's those smiley things, isn't it?
If only I could work out how to do it and I must confess I have not tried very hard, I think it may well be the secret to success, at least in the initial stages, although if that is the secret I think you'd need to cover your post with the little fellows, not meaning to be sexest in any way, of course, oh, dearie me, no.
Some smile, some frown, some glare, some are so rude as to stick their tongues out and it's just as well we don't have sound here as I'm sure some of them would blow me a raspberry, but good for the brain, those berries you know.
But I digress, (notice that nice little word I am using) and I must stay with the theme of the post. Content is King, but in my country the King died a long time ago and the way things are going, it will be another 25 years before Charles comes to the throne, that is if he is still around, otherwise it will be Wills, he'll probably be divorced by then, it's very trendy nowadays you know and all this sexual disclosure, who ever does anything in the privacy of their own bedroom now, no, it's all out there on U tube and not even the animals have any privacy.
But we were talking about smileys, or rather "I" was talking about smileys. But I live in hope that it may soon be "we" and we can get a charming little conversation going.
So do tell me about those smileys will you and what a big difference they have made to your life and if anyone has made some money with them, I'd be delighted to know.
Surely I am not the only one 'here' I was careful not to use the magical word there otherwise I might find myself dwindling away in the writer's forum, who has not made any money at all.
I can see some others headed in that direction too (to the writer's forum, I mean), all that clutter, but a channel would have been good with possibly four times the earnings. Now let's see 4 X 0 is equal to? That's a free brain teaser for you.
Oh, fobzy is getting right into the swing of things around here but I still need to acquire those little smiley skills. Don't rush, the end of the day will do.

;-P
Text smiles are really just something you throw in when you write hoping that your reader actually see how you are responding to them. Sort of a visualising thing - you know how you walk into a shop and some of the customer service smiles and ask you if they can help you, and some don't?
I think smilies works something the same way
