Isn't that just something?




The Portland Art Museum's unexpected exhibition, featuring 16 preposterously gorgeous cars from the 1930s through the early 1960s, opens this weekend and runs through September. The collection includes a 1933 Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow, with gleaming gray exterior and Art Deco lines; a 1937 Dubonnet that evokes an airplane; and a 1957 Jaguar once owned by Steve McQueen. Each one rests on a low platform, set off like a work of art.




Well that's the way it's going for so many of these grand old dames of motoring
