Money maketh the man.
March 28th 2008 15:30
I like the tone of this post, it has that certain "je ne sais Quoi", but much as I claim to not know it I do like that old cash register sound of the money flowing in.
Nowadays I suppose you would have to say of the credit cards being swiped.
Money isn't money any more. Put your money into gold, the old gold standard seems to be looming close by, we've gradually stuffed up all the currencies by betting and dealing and converting and losing on the futures markets and rogue traders sending banks to the wall and finally inventing a new currency, the euro, which has won for governments involved the non-love of the people and still there are some who refuse to be so persuaded.
So, now, what is left, back to gold? Well really I do not know, I do not run the currency debacles but it seems to me there ought to be a few nice little advertisements attached to it.
War is big when it comes to currencies with the US dollar getting ready to slide into oblivion, not that that is likely to happen but mortgaging the future of the US population to support an effort in a country which ought by now to be managing its own affairs seems somewhat ridiculous to me.
So war and money do seem to be inextricably linked, never mind the oil debate.
But given that the love of money is the root of all evil, I'm refraining from loving it, I just want some of it and preferably a big slice as the cake seems to be so small.
And I do hope I don't see advertisements here for cakes.
Money, it's want I want, like Abba, used to sing, Money, Money Money, it's so funny in a rich man's world.
Well amusing or not, that's what I want.
So who is going to advertise their money on my blog. We shall see in about 5 seconds time.
So it's good night from Sebastian, and with a name like that, no wonder I am known as fobzy
