Best of Show Winner is a 67 Ferrari
November 3rd 2009 10:04
Hardly a vintage but still very collectible. Ferrari is close to everyman's heart.
This one won the show at Hilton Head but there were other categories for the rest of them.
I wouldn't mind adding one of these to my little collection. Just one at present. Things have been so hectic on the farm, we seem to be rolling in funds and hard pressed to get it all spent.
Mother has bought two mares with their foals, one boy one girl and they are half siblings sharing the same father, and is he a prize stud. Mother intends to race them of course but they are very young at present.
We are both very excited, Mother is the good rider and I am the not so good punter, but you all know that story.
But back to collectible cars and I'm really mostly after vintage, but the show must go on with the farm and we've been flat chat.
This bright little number caught my eye so I thought I'd share it with you.
"Each year we have a focus on one European country's cars. This year was Britain. Next year will be Germany and then Italy the year after. We are trying to bring together a broad spectrum of clubs to make it interesting for everyone, the exhibitors and the public. Most car shows tend not to have a broad spectrum and focus on certain types of cars - Hot Rods, European, etc.,"
So that is what that show is all about, worth while keeping an eye on I think.
Enjoy the hot little yellow number, it's a change from red so popular with ferrari owners and there will be more about cars in my next post.
