While those with more than two children will need a larger family car, the Civic is a great choice for those with just one or two young children. One of the features that makes the Honda Civic a great family car is that it was specifically designed to with stand collisions with larger, heavier vehicles. It also gets great gas mileage, has a roomy back seat, a nice sized trunk and a well deserved reputation for reliability. Prices for 2010 models start at a little over $15,000 and around $24,000 for the Hybrid.
