What are backlinks?
Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance your sight. Google will notice.
A backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node
Backlinks are also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links.
These are the links that impress Google.
If you use backlinks correctly you should see some quality traffic coming to your site. And Google likes that a lot.
The link should be placed on a related and popular website and visible to all.
The higher the PageRank on the site that is linking to you the more PageRank it will pass to you. This will really impress Google.
One simple way to get your site noticed is too submit to directories.
There is a list of 100 from bloggingmix.
They are free to submit to.
You want to get your blog noticed by search engines such as Google and Yahoo, the leading two. As we use adsense on Orble it seems Google is the best way to go.
So Google, Google, Google is what you're aiming for and let's hope I do a bit better in what I attract with respect to relevancy with this post.
On with the show.
