sebastian Fobbs here, aka affectionately, fobzy
Forbes Inc. has ambitious plans for an ad network with about 400 financial blogs as members, according to AP. The financial news media company is expected to release more details about its Forbes' Business and Financial Blog Network on Monday, though it did say that the first participants include Xconomy and TalkingBizNews.
The company also said that it will handle ad sales across the sites with a system powered by San Bruno, CA-based Adify. And, as a way of perhaps lowering expectations, Forbes is shooting for an early revenue increase of 10 percent to 15 percent from the venture, even with the addition of hundreds of bloggers.
Well that sounds very important doesn't it, now I wonder what capital we can create out of that one.
I don't think I'm in the top 400 but time will tell. AIM high as the old expression goes.
Now let's see, obviously Forbes Inc is important, how much do you know about Forbes Inc, for me it's not a lot. Forbes Inc is not a circle in which I move although I do have friends in the very best companies, in diamonds and timber and tin and something in Rio Janeiro, my God, how the money rolls in.
So that just about exhausts me when it comes to Fobes Inc, but I think I am perhaps one keyword short.
Along with Forbes Inc, Associated Press gets a mention, so now we have the media and that's BIG, we can quote Television and Radio and Newspapers, Journals and Magazines and the one and only World Wide Web, now that's BIG.
And I think I'd best stop using big or I'll attract all the wrong kinds of ads, and unfortunately I am already doing that.
Better none there at all than any I've had that stick around like glue.
But all of this should put fobzy up there in the news along with the hundreds of others who do what I do. Not a pretty picture is it? Competition is good, so they say, but thus far all it is doing is cutting me out.
But if you want to succeed in Business choose one's associates, carefully, and let's see if we make any progress at all by following the top 400, still in the pipeline planning.
