Expensive and Fast - what more could a man want?
June 24th 2008 23:56
I guess a lot of you will not even have heard about this one, and certainly most of you, including me, would not have driven one.
But doesn't that sleek line and aerodynamic look really get deep within your soul, that is, of course, if you have a soul, and I'm beginning to suspect most lovers of really fast and expensive cars don't.
This one is black, symbolic of class, when it comes to cars anyway, and I guess if your credit card is large enough you can order whatever colour you like. The black would do me.
Even Newbie should like the colour of this one.
Or should I say the non-colour?
It's a Koenigsegg CCX
The Koenigsegg CCX is a very expensive and extremely fast car from Sweden. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds.
It costs about $722,534 (Rs 3.25 crore).
The Koenigsegg CCX -- CCX is short for Competition Coupe X -- is powered by a Koenigsegg designed and assembled, all aluminium, 4700 cm3 DOHC 32-valve V8 engine. The engine produces 900 hp on biofuel.
This sensual sensation is a two-door, two seater indulgence with a removable hardtop that can be stowed under the front hood lid.
The car's body is made of carbon fibre or kevlar. (Who cares? so long as it looks good)
Its interior is luxurious and the speedster has great gadgets.
Does this make you happy for the day?

But you missed a great "green post" yesterday, do call in and have a look and it's even in red for you.
However, in view of the latest price paid for a Monet painting of $80M, yes that's not a typo, it makes even the dearest car look cheap, after all whoever heard of anyone driving around in a Monet. Although I take your presumed point, whoever heard of carbon emissions from a Monet?
Not for the working class I guess.
