Easter on the farm

1959 Chevrolet Apache - Genuine Attention Getter!
Full of the Royal wedding, Mother has just realized it is Easter. I've been banished as next to useless, and everyone is running around at Mother's beck and call.
Easter is a big event on the farm.
This is the time when no-one is allowed to forget what Church of England Christians we are.
It's early morning breakfast on Good Friday with hot cross buns for all and sundry, except the babies, of course, they are not up to eating as yet, just guzzling.
Then it's off to Church, everyone, that is, that means arranging transport for all.
Mother and Mary and babies ( yes no-one is excused) are off in the Rolls with our chauffeur. I've been instructed to bring little Charlie, but he'll be happy with his dad, and its cars, and horse and buggies and anything which can carry anyone, what an event.
We have another round of the same on Easter Sunday of course, with everyone coming back to the farm to share in the Easter Eggs ditributed to all of the children with the older ones taking part in an Easter Egg hunt.
Good Friday we have a fish family lunch with everything laid on, but no meat allowed, after that repast no-one is very hungry later so it will be soup and sandwiches for tea, but no meat all day.
Sunday we have an even bigger mid-day meal and we may even see a spit roast outside.
Cook is up to her ears in flour, with all hands on deck for kitchen duties, no-one escapes.
After Easter Cook will go off for a well earned break and Mother will go off for the wedding, what a relief.
So now I'm going to have to think about my own transport so I may well take one of the farm trucks which have seen better days, little Charlie will love that.
Something like the one I've shown you here.
It's known as a Custom Classic Truck and very collectable you know!
Ah, what a great escape I have made, for the time being anyway
