Car choices for the lovely ladies
June 2nd 2008 05:23
What a wonderful thing it was that I discovered for you, yesterday, if you didn't have time to have a play /drive yesterday, do go back to have a look at it to-day, you could actually get right inside the car. Such fun.
Well, here in London I am doing well with my almost chosen intended, we are getting along famously, and Mother has been busy with the parents of the would be intended, checking out their fertility levels, while they have been busy checking out our financial credentials, on which we score very well.
But this morning was a bit of a shock. Mother decided I should collect the eggs and bring in the vegetables for the manor's consumption. Well, really! Such a task, for a grown man, and I did remind Mother that I had collected eggs and picked vegetables when I was a small boy. I mean, after all, a man has to assert himself, don't you think?
But Mother assured me they had indulged me then, but now I must think of it as real work, which I am actually happy to regard as such, I just don't think it is something "I" should be required to do.
But Mother must always have the day, and determined she was, so I 'fobzy' known to Mother as Sebastian had little choice but to comply, so it was off to see Cook and get to know what her requirements for the day were and she instructed me most diligently.
After I had done my chores I was treated to fresh hot scones with jam and cream and a lovely cup of good old English 'cha' so the day was not completely lost.
Talking of names, in view of my undisclosed father's dastardly deeds, can anyone please explain how Mother has alway been known as Mrs. Fobbs, despite the fact that that is her family's name, and more correctly she should be Miss Fobbs, but get away with it she has since I was a gleam in my unknown father's eye and soon to be a swelling beneath her heart.
British stock, there's nothing like it you know, talk about skeletons in the cupboard.
My intended's family don't ask awkward questions and little do they know it but that is a big plus in Mother's eye.
But now for my indulgences, yes, it looks as if this is now a car blog, but I am still keeping my options open.
So to-day we'll have a look at some rather nice design for the fairer sex, they do have their preferences, you know.
Now who would have thought they like the little VW, but apparently they do. It does have very clear vision, maybe that's the secret.
But the boot arrangement looks rather swish, don't you think?
And another choice is the Mazda, well, nice colours it seems, but there will be more on other ladies choices as I come across them.
I'm starting to think seriously about my own fleet, but that's bound to be vintage cars, ah, what a dream that would be.
I'm feeling rather good, it seems as if I have the world at my feet.

Not that a Bugatti or a Maclaren would make her look less prettier.
