Did I tell you we are doing up the workers cottages and Mother has allocated some more land for building some new ones. Meanwhile our new workers shall have to wait and one is involved in a lot of travelling.
It is quite difficult to arrange the various duties for each worker as farm skills can be quite unique and their experience and aptitiudes vary.
Mother does not like sacking people so if any don't quite work out we re-arrange things to fit their abilities, the future career prospects for these are very limited but at least they have a job and are generally quite obliging when there are some very mundane tasks to perform.
But enough of the farm, I know you are here to see cars, and quite frankly a little break from farm duties is just what I need.
2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 BlueHybrid
Notable Innovations: The S Class offers uniquely Mercedes attributes, like the steering-wheel shifter, old-school radio, LED speedometer, coffee-cup-designated drowsy-driver alert and corner-responsive seats. But now the S400 has the first mass-produced lithium-ion battery on the global market. The car gets a combined 30 miles per gallon; it’s a “mild hybrid” that restarts the engine after it’s switched off when stopped. Mercedes and other German automakers have been slow to embrace hybrid technology, in part because of their efficient diesel engines, which are about 30% more efficient than combustion engines, so this is a new move for the Stuttgart-based automaker.
Engine: 15-kW electric motor; 275-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and the 7-speed automatic transmission
MSRP: $88,000
