How to get your numbers up.

fobzy here
Well, despite everyone else's assurances that they are not at all interested in money, the fact is, I am.
So, although I already have certain ideas about what pays and what doesn't it does seem to me that unless you attract a lot of readers you are not going to attract the best advertisers, if any advertisers at all and even silly old me can work that out and I'm really not all that old but old enough to be just starting to think more seriously about life in order to secure my very considerable inheritance.
You know the British, don't please them and they'll cut you off without a dime.
Now, I have been told that content is King. Well may it be but I've seen many a boring old blog attracting quite a lot of attention, so apparently it is OK to be boring as long as other people are happy with your boring bits, there's not much sense in being boring and keeping it all to yourself.
We all know there is a lot of money out there and I'd regard anyone very favourably who would like to share it with me.
However slow as I am, I'm smart enough to realize that in return for their financial indulgence they are going to expect something in return and that something is measured in numbers, here described as stats.
So, if you like you can run around here and try to guess where all the bickies are going or you can come along for the ride with me. You may even come up with some ideas yourself.
Attracting the blog money may well have been a better heading for this post but then I'd probably just be told what I already know.
It seems good connections can take you a long way in life and here the connections are made with what are commonly known as links.
Some obviously do very well on their own, although they do seem to have attracted the incoming links that at the end of the day is what is needed.
They sit up there posting away when it suits them and not posting at all when it doesn't suit them and no doubt earn for themselves a nice little income.
Well from where I'm sitting that sounds very pleasant indeed.
Catching the attention of the search engines early is certainly better than waiting for 18 months for it all to happen naturally.
So let's see what we can do really.
I'd be surprised if we did not see all sorts of offers flowing in, mostlysuggesting that we give them so much money and they'll give us so much in return.
Exact details are not disclosed but it does seem an excellent way to make money from blogging rather than blogging yourself.
However I have no intention of descending to such uncouth practices, unbefitting to a relatively young gentleman, who has, of late, become a little more mature.
My lady friend and I have decided to start our journey later on this evening to avoid some of those dreadful traffic jams. That is how I am managing to fit in one more boring little post before I go, seeing myself as no more boring than a lot of other boring people around here.
And with every expectation of not spending a boring weekend. I feel my excitement growing.
Ah, the ladies, can't be too many of them. Such delightful creatures.
So it's get your numbers up and I can bet your bottom dollar that there'll be lots of novel little schemes coming in.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend, one and all, and don't forget to say your prayers.
