Ten Kissels, a 1904 Sunset Surry and a Pullman from 1910 joined dozens and dozens of Ford Model Ts and many other favorite, familiar makes at the 2010 Old Car Festival at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Mich.
Martie and Gregg Lange of Saginaw, Mich., found their 1910 Baker Electric in Bakersfield, Calif., about seven years ago.
The delicate-appearing 1904 Sunset Surrey, owned by Glenn Miller of Plymouth, Mich., was built by Sunset Automobile Company, which was destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The company was re-financed and later re-opened in San Jose.
Ron Hausmann of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan spearheaded the effort to have a unique gathering of Kissel Gold Bug speedsters at the 2010 Old Car Festival. This is Hausmann's 1923 model.
Did you like those? I'd love to add them to my collection but fat chance of that.
