2010 Dodge Challenger
July 10th 2010 07:52
A distinctly retro look which will appeal to some and not to others.
But, Chrysler needs to upgrade the steering and suspension.
and that will put a lot of potential buyers off, but not everyone, some will go for the retro look of the brute and be blind to anything else.
It's a car for the lovers of both the old and the new, and a combination will get them in every time.
It's a matter of personal taste it seems.
For me, not at this stage of my life but it has enough appeal for me to search for a vintage or classic which has some of the same appeal for my collection and I sure have a ton of room in my new garaging for the vintage car collection which has not materialised to any degree yet, as Mother is always telling me. Boy is she pushy!
But back to this 2010 version.
$42,520 as-tested price seems a lot to pay for the retro look
When you put your foot into the throttle the sound is huge, and the car hoons will go for this feature in a big way, Grease all over again for so many, they just love that kinda stuff.
Me, I'm simple, but I go for cool and comfort, not sound.
That just would not go over in our neck of the woods and no squire worth his salt would be caught dead in one, and that's me, the local squire.
But for the larger than life distinctive look of the retro with crashing acoustics there is bound to be a market and who am I to argue, at least I've got my blog on this weekend, but I'll have to keep up with the middle of the night stealth to get away with it. A Farmer's work is never done, you know.
